In attempting to rationalize some results obtained with rare gas sensitizing agents in the radiolysis of B5H9, some ion-molecule reactions of D+, D2+, and rare gas ions with pentaborane were studied using a tandem mass spectrometer. It was found that the pentaborane fragmentation varied markedly as a function of the recombination energy of the rare gas ion. This variation proceeded as This book explores the mechanism of alkali-metal ion/molecule association reaction, surveys the instrumental basis to study its kinetic, and describes the instrumentation to the measurement of alkali-metal ion affinities. The reactions of ions derived from SiF 4 with SiF 4, N 2, CH 4, CHCl 3, H 2 O, and C 2 H 4 are reported. Three types of reactions were observed: (1) adduct formation, where SiF 3 + is bound to a neutral molecule, (2) halide

State-selected Coulomb-crystallized molecular ions were employed for the first time in ion–molecule reaction studies using the prototypical charge-transfer process N 2 + + N 2 → N 2 + N 2 + as an example. By preparing the reactant ions in a well-defined rovibrational state and localizing them in space by sympathetic cooling to milliKelvin temperatures in an ion trap, state- and energy Buy Ion-molecule reactions; on FREE SHIPPING on qualified orders Ion-molecule reactions;: Franklin, J. Ideally, such a book would be written by one or possibly two authors. Unfortunately, the sheer bulk and variety of the studies of ion-molecule reactions has made it impractical for a single person to prepare a book on the subject in a time that would permit it to be issued before the material covered was :// Search within book.
